Open weekdays from 9:30am to 4.30pm and weekends from 10am to 4:30pm.

Free parking is available in the botanical garden parking lot.

About the Shop in the Garden and Plant Centre

Nestled at the entrance to the UBC Botanical Garden, the Shop in the Garden and Plant Centre features unique treasures for gardeners of any experience. The Shop in the Garden showcases a diverse selection of gardening and botanical books, handy garden accessories and tools, distinctive gifts, and dried flower arrangements.

New Plants & Shrubs arriving daily! Fragrant bushes in full bloom waiting for a new home.  

Veggie and flower seeds available from the Garden Seed Collectors and West Coast Seeds.

The Plant Centre offers seasonal choice selections of perennials, shrubs and vines for the garden and patio including a wonderful selection of hellebores, including the new Vancouver Medallion, Winter Moonbeam and Winter Sunshine.

Of special note to gardeners seeking hard-to-find or unusual plants, the Shop in the Garden supplies seeds from plants in the UBC Botanical Garden. Hand-picked by the Friends of the Garden, the seeds are cleaned and packaged. Labels containing growing information are affixed to the packages before the seed packets are made available for sale.

All members of the University of British Columbia Botanical Garden receive a 10% discount at the Shop in the Garden.

The Shop in the Garden and Plant Centre are operated by the garden's volunteers, the Friends of the Garden. All proceeds from the Shop in the Garden and 100% of the purchase price of the seeds fund research, education, and garden improvements at the UBC Botanical Garden.
