AN EXCITING NEW PROJECT FROM THE UBC BOTANICAL GARDEN! These plants are now available in the Shop in the Garden! “FROM OUR GARDEN TO YOUR GARDEN”
A number of years ago, the Friends of the Garden (FOGs) propagation groups along with the curators of the Garden, identified plants in the Asian and Alpine sections of the UBC Botanical Garden to be propagated and sold to the public. Last year, a number of the FOG propagators took cuttings or divisions from a wide selection of plants to begin this program. We aim to grow the number of plants available over the coming years. A map and garden signage are also being developed to help you find plants in the Garden that are available for sale in our shop and vice versa.
Criteria for a Plant’s Inclusion in “Our Garden to Your Garden”
1. All plants labeled as “From Our Garden to Your Garden” are accessioned and growing in the UBC Botanical Garden at the time of sale.
